Congratulations on your new Shiftwork Survival Kit! We hope that this will aid you in getting better rest when sleeping out of synch with the rest of the world and help to make your shiftwork lifestyle a little easier.

Items we’ve included in this kit are:

Lunch Cooler – We know the importance of eating healthy on the nightshift, and not every work place offers a place to find healthy alternatives to eat during your shift. We’ve included this handy lunch cooler so that you can pack your own lunch to bring as well as some healthy snacks to keep you performing at your best throughout the night.

Water Bottle – We cannot say it often enough, the best way to prevent a lot of the problems with the nightshift is to stay hydrated and avoid overuse of caffeine; so we’ve included a water bottle for you to fill and take to work to help you stay hydrated and healthy.

Eye Mask – Sleeping while everyone else is starting their day can be very difficult, we hope to make the task a little easier by including a comfy eye mask to help keep you “in the dark” and help get a better day’s rest.

Lavender Linen Mist – In keeping with the good day’s rest theme, we’ve also added some of our Lavender Linen Mist to this kit. Studies have shown that lavender has a calming and sedative affect when inhaled, so we recommend that you spray some of this on your linens every couple of days and enjoy the relaxing feeling you get when you crawl into bed each morning.

Ear Plugs – To help drown out the noise of day life and make it easier to get the rest you need, we’ve included a couple pairs of ear plugs to make your sleep environment more conducive to getting good sleep.

Doorhanger – We all know that the hardest part of being on the opposite schedule of the rest of the world is getting interrupted just when you’ve fallen asleep. We’ve included a doorhanger made specifically for shiftworkers that will let your family and friends know not to disturb you while you’re recuperating from your nightshift.

Working Nights Health & Safety Guide – A short guide written and published by the CIRCADIAN team, the Health & Safety Guide provides lots of tips to making the night shift tolerable. The guide covers the most critical topics including understanding your circadian rhythms, work performance and job safety, sleep, nutrition, health problems and solutions, and family and social life.

Working Nights Newsletter – We’ve also included a copy of our monthly Working Nights newsletter, written to appeal to shiftworkers and give them tips and tricks of the trade. If you want more, you can sign up for a subscription at www.circadianstore.com.

We hope that you enjoy this kit and take advantage of all that it has to offer!

Sincerely,

The CIRCADIAN Team
